What personal data we collect and why we collect it


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Email Optin

We collect emails from our visitors for educational and marketing purposes as described before a visitor submits his/her email. We do not transfer or sell your personal details to the third parties neither do we spam you. Our subscription email has unsubscribe link in order to remove your email from our list.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

How we work

Freightya is a team of passionate procurement agents. We are neither a shipping company nor a supplier. The only role is to serve as an intermediary between you and China. What do we mean? To buy any product from either 1688.com, Alibaba, Taobao, or any Chinese shopping platform, you need our service as either a procurement or outsourcing agent.

Here’s how it works

  1. You have searched for products to buy from either 1688, Alibaba, Taobao, or any Chinese online stores
  2. We have assumed that you have done your research on the supplier you will be buying from
  3. We will inquire from you about the shipping company of your choice. If you have non, we can recommend options for you. (We have no connection with them. You just do it at your own risk).
  4. Now, you send the links to all the products that you want us to buy for you
  5. And our role is to simply buy those products and send them to the shipping company of your choice.
  6. But before we place your order, we will send a screen recording of your links in our cart so that you can confirm the colours, quantity and size match exactly what you need. After confirmation, we will place your order.
  7. We will supply you with tracking numbers so that you can communicate with your shipping company so that they can track your goods.
  8. Now your shipping company should be able to start receiving your goods within the 3-4 days of placing your orders.
  9. Our job is done with you. 

If you want us to help you handle all your orders while you handle other important things, we will help you at no additional cost. 

Just like we will send a screen recording of your items in our cart, you already confirmed that everything is complete including the exact size, colour, and quantity you need.

Now, the case of incomplete items, wrong colours or sizes is normal with China suppliers. If in a way you received your goods but there were incomplete goods, missing or wrong selection then it is entirely from the sellers, not us at Freightya. This is because you chose suppliers you want us to buy from on your behalf. We never chose them for you.

In this case, you need to ask us to communicate with the sellers. Most times, you get your full refunds. Few times you don’t. We are not responsible for paying you for incomplete goods or any refunds. It is either the seller does or not.

Then for the shipping companies, there may be delays which are normal in logistics companies. There could be a shortage of cargo flights available, bad weather conditions, etc.

We are not in any way responsible for delayed shipments, lost goods, wrong goods nor missing nor incomplete goods. Our service is only to help you make payment to your suppliers. It ends there.

Accepting to use our services, simply means that you have accepted our policy and have taken full responsibility for the outcomes which have been hopeful and positive with us.

This policy is important that you review them before using our service. It will be used against you in a court of law for defamatory of our customers at heart brand, Freightya.
